Dallas Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

Argument Escalates into Fatal Gunfire

WEB DALLAS - One man is dead after an argument allegedly led to gunfire in the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident occurred near 130th Street East and Webb Chapel Road in Dallas, Texas.

Investigation Underway

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to the scene and found a 50-year-old man, identified as Chance Domel Harris, suffering from gunshot wounds. Harris was transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators determined that the suspect, 36-year-old Bobby Johnson, was involved in an argument with Harris prior to the shooting. Johnson was later arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held in the Denton County Jail.

Additional Details

According to court records, Harris had been involved in a family-related custody lawsuit filed in Dallas County District Courts in 2016.
