Kickoff Weekend

One of the most anticipated college football weekends is upon us as the Top 25 Auburn Tigers host the Mercer Bears on Saturday, September 3rd at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will mark the first of the season for both teams and will be a great opportunity for fans to see the Tigers in action for the first time since their appearance in the Birmingham Bowl last December.

Auburn is coming off a disappointing 2021 season, finishing with a 6-7 record and missing out on a bowl game. However, the Tigers have a lot of talent returning this season, including quarterback TJ Finley, running back Tank Bigsby, and wide receiver Ja'Varrius Johnson. With a new coaching staff led by Bryan Harsin, Auburn is hoping to get back to their winning ways in 2022.

A New Season, A New Hope

Mercer is coming off a successful season, finishing with an 8-4 record and winning the Southern Conference championship. The Bears are led by quarterback Fred Payton and running back Ty James. Mercer is looking to make a statement in their first game of the season and will be looking to pull off the upset against Auburn.
